Hi Y'all! Happy Wednesday!

Time to start on Thanksgiving Day cards! I'm starting off with one with lots of flowers and autumn leaves! Also loads of dimension on this card!

There are a couple of cutting dies I used on this card that are great all round, use them anytime dies! One is the Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangles set, the other is the berry branches which are perfect little filler bits for flower groupings. I found that one on Amazon.com but the exact ones I have aren't available anymore. 😡  If you see one, get it, it looks so nice tucked in with the flowers! The Hemstitch Rectangles can be found here as well as many other places, I'm sure!

So , back to the card! Here it is!

Whoo Hoo! It's Wednesday again!

I'm hoping the weather is good for the trick-or-treaters this year. It's still hot here at the moment but at least it's toned down to hot instead of the "Oh my gosh! It's HOT" weather we had been having! This card has a secret surprise on the inside that I'll share ahead of time with all of you, my blogger buddies! Meet George McBones lol. I couldn't help myself, I had to give him a silly name!

I made him from a free coloring page that I found online! It's on this page, just scroll down, he's there! I did a copy image, pasted it into a word file, resized it and printed it out!

Here's the card........ minus George!

Happy Wednesday!

When I was thinking about Halloween cards it occured to me that bats are the butterflies of Halloween! So that thought led me to thinking of the technique I've used before to make hovering butterflies and Voila! hovering bats! A big full moon and some spooky clouds completes the look! I used a font called EgoryCastle for the interior sentiment. If you like it you can download it here from the website 1001freefonts.com

Do you see what I see?

No, I'm not singing Christmas carols way, way too early! I was looking at a post on the Heartfelt Creations Blog, Decorative Floral Tea Box, and noticed something! Obviously I'm not the only one that recycles their trash into card making supplies. Can you pick out what I'm seeing in this picture?

No? You didn't see it? Let me zoom in a little closer........

There! See it now? lol A bit of cardboard from all those shipping boxes we all seem to accumulate sure comes in  handy!
I usually use cereal box cardboard, but then, hey! why not some corrugated! It's a lovely project but this sure gave ME a giggle!

Hope you're all having a lovely day! Take care and get some crafting time in! ttfn!

It's time!

Time to start thinking about holiday cards! Starting off with Halloween, then Thanksgiving and finally Christmas! I'm using Spooky Sweets and Still Night (which is actually supposed to be a Christmas stamp set) for this weeks card! I also used some down-loadable pattern paper you can print out if you have a color printer from Far Far Hill. It's called Magic Night and you can find it here. Of course, if you have some other papers you would rather use, you certainly could!

Happy Wednesday!

I hope everyone is having a better day than I am today! I was greeted this morning with the results of a gastro problem my dog has been having since (we suspect) our cat, Chaos, shared a raw turkey burrito burger with her the other day 😒. I spent the morning cleaning my floors, THEN I couldn't find the little plastic box I keep my completed and video'ed cards in, along with the materials lists. It could be anywhere since my grandson likes to look at the cards which is why they are in a plastic box! So the list of materials I used isn't included on this card. When and if I find the list I'll add them.

On to the card! I watched some youtube videos on different ways to make pop-ups and when I saw the floating platform one I knew I needed to adapt it to a card! It looks so impressive and it isn't as difficult as you may think to do!

😲 The Holidays are coming!!!

Stampin' Up!'s 2018 Holiday Catalog goes live today! Loads of great stuff in there so be sure to look through it!

Is it Flu season yet? Better stock up on get well cards! lol

Seriously tho, a handcrafted, get well soon card can make a friend feel, if not better, at least loved!

This card uses a stamp collage for the front panel (don't you just LOVE that fat little bird?) and ink blending. I use the big fat makeup sponges for that. If you have trouble getting a nice smooth blend, try them! I also dab them off on my silicone mat after inking. This works the ink down evenly into the surface of the sponge so it's less likely to go on streaky!

Hello to all my fellow craftaholics!

I have a little secret way to help keep your crafting costs down and still use some beautiful pattern papers! If you have a  color printer there are some sites that have the nicest papers to download. The two main ones I use are lianascrap.com (this one is very easy to use) and farfarhill.blogspot.com (this one has TONS of papers but is a little more involved). Granny Enchanted has a informative and amusing tutorial to guide you thru the download process for the Far Far Hills papers, just go here! So how does this save you money? You only need to print the paper you're going to use! No half used pattern paper stacks! Plus you don't need something to store all those papers! I see this as a win-win! Now when I get the "I need to buy papers" urge, I go to one of these websites, choose some paper and download it! Usually lol. I admit I do still buy some papers but they have to be pretty special.

So on to the card! I used some papers for this one from Liana Scraps and amazingly enough the papers I chose match Stampin' Up! inks!

Ooopsy! Um, Happy Saturday (?) everyone!

Somehow my Wednesday blog entry didn't get posted!, Don't know what happened to it but here's the weekly card crafting idea! We'll be making a tag/card! If you're giving a gift, it makes an excellent addition to your wrappings no matter what the event!

Did you like the sentiment stamp I used for the inside of the card? It's rather quite nice! I found it on aliexpress.com and you can find it here!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I have a bright and cheery birthday card to share with you today. I picked out a panel from the Birds & Blooms pattern paper with a darling, fat little blue bird for the focal point. I'll also be using a super cool cut and emboss border die? folder? What WOULD you call it? Anyways, it both cuts and embosses at the same time. The card sentiments came from a stamp set I found on aliexpress.com and you can find it here! You can get some wonderful stamps and dies on that website at excellant prices,  you just need to be patient because it does take a looooooong time to get to you!

Once again I'm combining Stampin' Up! with Heartfelt Creations products to make this card. We'll be using the beautiful silver embossing paste and the brick mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks, both from Stampin' Up! to make the glamorous background! Add some shaped roses and ribbon and that completes the card! Since there isn't any lace (how in the world did that happen?!?) you *could* even give this card to a guy!

Making a 3D Grand Cabinet box with Stampin' Up! Supplies

And here we have it! Yet another more way to use the 3D Grand Cabinet die set from Spellbinders! I'm sure getting a lot of use from this die set and I keep coming up with different ways to use it!

Did I promise to tell where I got those cute little metal roses? I found those here and I got the premade mulberry paper gardenias on the other card here.
