Getting ready to dye your Easter eggs? How about making some cute little stands to display your prettier eggs? These go together so fast you won't believe it!
Get out those lacy border dies you have stashed away. I know you have some. Cut them out with Whisper White cardstock or whatever color you might like your lacy bits!
Next look thru your scraps. I always end up with strips of paper that I've trimmed off. You'll need a 5 1/2" length and whatever height you want your holders. I made mine 1-1 1/2" tall. The width of your lacy dies will effect how tall you want yours.
Now, glue your lacy borders to your strips. If your lacy bits aren't 5 1/2" long, start one end lined up with the end edge of the colored cardstock strips as I show in the picture below.
Give them a moment for the glue to dry, then wrap them around something cylindrical (such as a glue bottle) to start to shape them. Add glue to the last 1/2" of the strip on the end that does NOT have your lacy die cut bit. For example, I would put my glue on the left hand side of the strips in the picture.
Overlap the opposite side, hold for a bit until the glue sets and VOILA! You're done! Now all I need to do is hardboil and dye my eggs! 😄
I hope y'all have a wonderful Easter!

Special Day Birthday Card - Third Purple Lilac Card!
Mmmmm Lilacs! Who doesn't love Lilacs? This is the third and (maybe?) the last in my Purple Lilac series. Really though, I can't honestly say it WILL be the last one, they're soooo lovely I just might come up with more cards! If you switch out the sentiments, wouldn't this make a beautiful Mother's Day card?

Waterfront Mountain Lake Scene
Here it is Sunday and I promised this card on Friday 😞
It's very much like the Tropical one except this one features a tranquil mountain scene.

Stampin' Up! Waterfront Tropical Beach Card
We're off to the tropics! It actually looks like this year round here where I live!
The Waterfront stamp set is one of those scene builder sets and it's available from the 2018 Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog. Friday I'll release my card with a mountain scene from the same stamp set. As usually happens, I couldn't just stamp and glue, I enhanced the watercolory (is that even a word? lol) effect so take a look at the video to see what I did!

Well..... I ordered my Sweet Peony sets yesterday! Darn you Heartfelt Creations! They came out with a new beautiful collection I HAD to have! It's supposed to be here on Friday. Can you guess what I'll be doing this weekend?

Shadowbox Easel Mother's Day or Easter card
Here's the card I've been working on!
It was the videoing that held me up. I've been an avid youtuber for a long time and until I started making my own videos I never realized, or even gave it a thought, how much time goes into making one.
Making a card, on the other hand, goes pretty fast for me once I have the idea in my mind! Paper scraps, dies and stamps fly everywhere! It's a good thing I got TWO crafting tables when I set up my craft room! I have about 20 square feet of table space and every inch is covered!
There's still time if you want to make this an Easter card but it will make a lovely Mother's Day card too!
I know it might look frighteningly difficult but just take it step by step and you'll soon find that your card is finished! If you're time challenged like so many of us are, break it up into 3 (or more) crafting time slots!

Let's start with making the shadowbox. I'll show you how it was designed as well as how to cut, fold and assemble it here
Next we'll do the shading and shaping of the dogwoods and lilacs in this video.
And finally! We'll put it all together! Click here for the final video!

Heartfelt Blooms in blue!
I can't say it enough - this is truly a beautiful stamp! I hope this photographic look is going to become a trend! You'll find that this card goes together in a flash so it's great for those "oh my gosh! I forgot to make a card" moments!
I'm still working on an Easter/Mother's Day card that I'm pretty sure is gonna knock your socks off! I know I've amazed myself. It's a 3 video card so you can only imagine what's going into it! lol Definately not a last minute card to make but it's a GORGEOUS card to make for Mom! I only have the last video to make so I'm confident it will be ready soon!

Lush Lilacs Thinking of You Birthday Card
Card #2 of my 3 purple lilac cards! I made it a birthday card but this could just as easily be a Mother's Day card if you switch out the inside sentiment.
Easter has snuck up on me this year. How unfair is that to have Easter on April 1st! But it kinda tickles me that Easter and April Fools Day are on the same day! Can we tell the kids we hid Easter eggs for them and not do it? April Fools! I know, I have a weird sense of humor! But seriously, you laughed a little too didn't you! 😃
Anyways, here's the card! What do you think? Bow or no bow? I like it either way I think!

Blog Exclusive! Embellished Dollar Tree Magnetic Note Pad
I was at my local Dollar Tree store today and picked up a magnetic note pad and a picture frame (and a bunch of other stuff too!) When I saw this note pad, I thought how cute would that be with some dimensional flowers on it so here's what I came up with! This is how it looked when I brought my little treasure home!
The first thing I did was take that awful bow off! I measured the decorative area at the top of the pad- 4 1/16" x 1 1/2", how thick the pad was - 1/4" and decided to have my paper extend to the back by 1/4" to have a place to attach my paper to the back. I used some paper that I had been playing around with with blending and masked butterflies on it but you could just as easily use a bit of designer paper!
Using my Stampin' Trimmer I cut the paper 4 1/16" x 2"and scored it at 1/4" and 1/2" along the long edge and used my bone folder to give it some nice crisp folds. I then glued it to the top back of the notepad with my trusty Tombow glue. Now all I needed was some flowers! I got out my stash of dimensional flowers and chose one that I had made with the Sunrise Lily stamp and die sets from Heartfelt Creations and some leaves but you choose a flower YOU would like for yours!
Those got glued onto the lefthand side and my new customized notepad is ready to be hung on my 'fridge!

Heartfelt Blooms Tag All Occasion card
Happy Friday! Grandma (me!) just got a carseat for my little darlin and we spent the best part of a day installing it! Who knew`you had to have an engineering degree to install a child's carseat? I'm so happy I can take the boy out with me and run errands on the days I have him here! That will certainly free up a little time on my days off!
But enough about me, let me tell you about the card! I'm using the Heartfelt Blooms stamp that you can have for free with a $50 purchase from Stampin' Up! during the 2018 Sale-a-bration event! Free is always good! And the stamp is gorgeous! It's made with some special process that produces a wonderful photographic look!
Watch the video to see how I used multiple color inks on the stamped image and also how to dye and crinkle the shabby chic style bow! Click here for the video!
