I was at my local Dollar Tree store today and picked up a magnetic note pad and a picture frame (and a bunch of other stuff too!) When I saw this note pad, I thought how cute would that be with some dimensional flowers on it so here's what I came up with! This is how it looked when I brought my little treasure home!
The first thing I did was take that awful bow off! I measured the decorative area at the top of the pad- 4 1/16" x 1 1/2", how thick the pad was - 1/4" and decided to have my paper extend to the back by 1/4" to have a place to attach my paper to the back. I used some paper that I had been playing around with with blending and masked butterflies on it but you could just as easily use a bit of designer paper!
Using my Stampin' Trimmer I cut the paper 4 1/16" x 2"and scored it at 1/4" and 1/2" along the long edge and used my bone folder to give it some nice crisp folds. I then glued it to the top back of the notepad with my trusty Tombow glue. Now all I needed was some flowers! I got out my stash of dimensional flowers and chose one that I had made with the Sunrise Lily stamp and die sets from Heartfelt Creations and some leaves but you choose a flower YOU would like for yours!
Those got glued onto the lefthand side and my new customized notepad is ready to be hung on my 'fridge!
